Alagang Globe brings relief, connectivity to areas affected by Typhoon Uwan

Globe is standing with communities impacted by Typhoon Uwan, providing connectivity, relief, and on-ground assistance across Luzon. The company has been working closely with local government units and humanitarian partners to help families recover and reconnect in the aftermath of the storm.

Restoring Connectivity Across Luzon

Globe’s network teams have been working round-the-clock to restore services in affected provinces, ensuring customers can reach loved ones and access critical information.

In North Luzon, Globe has restored 100% network availability in the provinces of Tarlac, Pampanga, Zambales, Apayao, Nueva Ecija, and Ilocos Norte. Technical teams continue to work in other affected areas to ensure full connectivity is maintained across impacted regions.

In South Luzon, network availability is currently at 82.82% in the entire area. Full service has been achieved in Batangas, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, Laguna, Albay, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque. Technical teams remain deployed in coordination with local disaster response units to expedite restoration in remaining towns.

Extending Relief and Care

Through Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI) and Brigadang Ayala, Globe is supporting relief operations in Rosario, Northern Samar and Sangay, Camsur, bringing essential goods and comfort to families in evacuation areas.

In partnership with Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAH), Globe also helped deliver 600 food packs to 200 families in Ilocos Norte and Cagayan, reaching those most affected by the storm. More food assistance under Brigadang Ayala is being readied for deployment to other communities.

Free Call, Charging, and WiFi Stations

To ensure people can stay connected amid power and signal interruptions, Globe has activated Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi (LTLCW) sites in key locations across Luzon.

Free service areas have been set up in Brgy. Care, Tarlac City; Brgy. Backiling, Aparri, Cagayan; Brgy. Dominican Hill–Mirador and Brgy. Bakakeng Norte in Baguio City, Benguet; Pili Public Market, Camarines Sur; and Daet Poblacion, Camarines Norte.

These sites are open between November 10 and 13, operating from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and are located in or near evacuation centers to provide immediate access to communication support for affected residents.
