Angeles City joins #VaxAsOne; sets vaccination of non-residents

ANGELES CITY — The city’s two mega vaccination sites – the City College of Angeles and Angeles City National High School – will accommodate all walk-in residents and non-residents as part of the national government’s #VaxAsOne program from Nov. 29 to December 1, 2021.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. said the initiative of joining the three-day national vaccination day is the city government’s contribution towards herd immunity, echoing that the safest way to protect oneself from the virus is to get vaccinated.

IC Calaguas, Lazatin’s chief adviser and chief implementer of the city’s vaccination program, also explained that three mobile bus clinics will also be deployed in all the city’s entry point boundaries including cities of Mabalacat and San Fernando and towns of Porac, Mexico, and Magalang.

There are 400 working staff in the vaccination team.

City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra, who is manning the medical side of the vaccination program, said that there is enough supplies of vaccine to inoculate residents and non-residents.

Aside from this, all doctors and nurses here will also receive their booster shots starting on November 25, 2021.

To date, 295,185 Angeleños already received their first dose of vaccines while 233,373 are fully vaccinated.
