Angeles City ranks 5th Most Improved HUC nationwide

The Angeles City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., on November 11, 2024 was recognized by the Department of Trade & Industry as the 5th Most Improved Highly Urbanized City nationwide for its exemplary performance in the 2024 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI).

This is the third time that the leadership of Mayor Lazatin has received the same award.

Mayor Lazatin received the said award at SMX Convention Center, SM City Clark Compound.

Lazatin was accompanied by Business Permit and Licensing Division Chief Enrico Romero, Quality Management System Representative Chrysalene Cunanan, and City Planning and Development Officer Engr. Nilda Quito during the awarding.

CMCI is an annual ranking of local government units in the Philippines developed by the National Competitiveness Council through the Regional Competitiveness Committees (RCCs) with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development.

It has four main pillars: economic dynamism, government efficiency, infrastructure, and resiliency.
