ANGELES CITY — In a historic celebration of leadership and innovation, the Angeles University Foundation (AUF) inaugurated the Emmanuel Y. Angeles Center for Learning and Innovation on December 4, 2024.
The event was held in honor of University Chancellor Emeritus Dr. Emmanuel Y. Angeles and coincided with the 117th birth anniversary of University Founder, Dr. Barbara Y. Angeles.
Gracing the occasion was former President and Chairperson of the AUF Board of Trustees, Cong. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who joined university officials, faculty, alumni, and students in paying tribute to two pillars of AUF’s history and progress.
The event began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by the solemn blessing led by Archbishop Emeritus Most Rev. Paciano B. Aniceto, D.D.
The event was attended by university officials, faculty, administrative staff, student leaders, distinguished members of the AUF Board of Trustees, and members of the Angeles family.
The Emmanuel Y. Angeles Center for Learning and Innovation will serve as a dynamic hub for research, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, reinforcing AUF’s position as a leader in higher education.
It houses the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Criminal Justice Education, College of Computer Studies, College of Education, and College of Engineering and Architecture.
This new facility includes research laboratories, collaborative learning spaces, and digital resource hubs, designed to cater to the evolving needs of 21st-century learners.
The University community looks forward to the center’s impact on nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators, continuing the legacy of Dr. Emmanuel Y. Angeles and Dr. Barbara Y. Angeles.
