CAMP OLIVAS — A 72-year-old Australian national was arrested over the weekend in Angeles City for allegedly raping his 4-year-old stepdaughter.
Acting Pampanga police director Col. Robin Sarmiento said members of the Mabalacat and the Angeles City police conducted a manhunt operation at Palace Hotel, Brgy. Malabanias, Angeles City that led to the arrest of Geoffrey John Chapman, 72, a Australian national residing in Bgy. San Joaquin, Mabalacat City, Pampanga
The suspect has a standing warrant of arrest for rape issued by the Family Court Branch 10of Angeles City in Pampanga.
Chapman is the primary suspect in the rape of his 4-year-old stepdaughter sometime on May 31, 2021.
“May this send a strong message to all those who continue to evade the law. Regardless of who you are, Central Luzon is not a sanctuary of fugitives and lawless elements,” PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon said.
