Bataan cops nab gun ban violator

BATAAN — A man who pointed a gun at his neighbor was arrested on Thursday in Dinalupihan town.

In a report to Bataan police director Col. Romell Velasco, Dinalupihan police chief Maj. Randy Apolonio said his men responded to a report that a man was threatening a neighbor in JC Payumo, Dinalupihan town. 

Complainant Renzter Salinga told police that suspect Francisco Nicban, 48, of Bgy. San Jose, Floridablanca, Pampanga, was shouting outside their house and carrying a hand gun. 

Salinga went outside to pacify Nicban but instead he pointed the gun at him. 

Nicban’s father tried to pacify his son but he sped off on his car towards FloridaBlanca.

The suspect’s vehicle information was relayed to the nearest police checkpoint and he was flagged down by joint personnel of the Dinalupihan police and 1st PMFC Bataan. 

Confiscated from the suspect was a .38 pistol loaded with six bullets.

Velasco said the suspect will face charges for grave threats and violation of RA 10591 in Relation to Omnibus Election Code (Gun Ban).
