CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Incumbent City Councilor Brenz Gonzales filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on October 1 for the vice-mayoralty seat of the City of San Fernando, pledging to continue better legislation for Fernandinos and reach more sectors of city.
The young Gonzales is currently running on his own without any running mate or political slate.
Gonzales was accompanied by his father, 3rd District Representative “Dong” Gonzales Jr.
He said that he will also continue the programs and services he has initiated as councilor and bring his own style of legislative work in the city councilor as, hopefully, vice mayor.
Gonzales, 25, is a proud native of Barangay Dolores in the City of San Fernando.
He began his early education at Mary the Queen Academy of Pampanga in nearby Bacolor town. When his father was elected congressman in 2007, Brenz transferred to Ateneo de Manila for high school. Later, he pursued his degree in Civil Engineering at De La Salle University.
After graduating in 2018, Brenz passed the board exams with an impressive score of 84.
However, the celebration of his achievement was brief. He quickly began his career as a site engineer at Megaworld Corporation in Taguig City, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry.
With this experience under his belt, Brenz resigned from his job and took on a more significant role as president and chief executive officer of AD Gonzales Jr. Construction Corp., the “AAA” category construction firm established by his father.
