LUBAO, Pampanga — The Provincial Government of Pampanga further strengthened its peace and order initiatives in the province’s Second District with the distribution of 81 barangay tricycle patrol units to several municipalities.

The patrol units were turned over during a ceremonial distribution led by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Former President and Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, together with Floridablanca Mayor Michael Galang, Guagua Mayor Anthony Joseph Torres, Sta. Rita Mayor Reynan Calo, Lubao Mayor Esmeralda Pineda, and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Under the second batch of distribution, the municipalities of Floridablanca (33 units), Guagua (31 units), Sta. Rita (10 units), and Sasmuan (7 units) received the patrol vehicles to help enhance security and monitoring in their respective barangays.

Governor Pineda said that strengthening community safety remains a priority of the provincial government under her leadership and that of Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, which is why P9.72 million was allocated for the procurement of the patrol units.
According to the latest data from the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO), the police-to-population ratio in the province currently stands at 1:1,044. With this, the newly distributed patrol units are expected to serve as vital support for barangay personnel and other force multipliers in maintaining peace and order across communities.

To date, the Provincial Government has distributed a total of 125 tricycle patrol units to various municipalities across Pampanga as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen grassroots security and community-based law enforcement.

Aside from the newly distributed patrol units, several patrol vehicles that underwent repair and maintenance by the Provincial Capitol were also endorsed during the event, allowing them to be redeployed in service of the Kapampangan people.
