CIAC extends relief aid in storm-stricken Batangas town

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE – The Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) recently conducted a relief aid operation in Laurel, Batangas that was severely-affected by Tropical Storm Kristine (international name Trami).

The relief aid mission, part of the CIAC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, benefited at least 650 families who each received relief packages consisting of five kilograms of rice, blanket, clothing, toiletries kit, and bottled water sourced from the agency’s CSR budget and from voluntary donations of CIAC employees.

“The relief aid mission is our way of giving back to the community by assisting those in need to make a difference and, in our own little way, help ease their difficult situation,” CIAC President and CEO Jojit Alcazar said.

The event was led by a combined team from the CIAC Public Affairs Division, Human Resource Department, Records Management Office, and the General Services Office with assistance from barangay officials of Poblacion Dos led by Jocelyn Amo and Rachelle Oliganola.
