CL’s top 9 most wanted caught after 5 years in hiding

CAMP OLIVAS – A 36-year-old farmer tagged as the No. 9 most wanted person in Central Luzon was arrested on Thursday at a checkpoint in Dipaculao, Aurora.

Aurora police acting director Col. Julio Lizardo said Dipaculao and 2nd Platoon PMFC policemen were manning a checkpoint in Bgy. Dinadiawan, Dipaculao, Aurora when they chanced upon suspect Alfredo Bernal.

Police said Bernal has a standing warrant of arrest for multiple rape issued by Baler, Aurora RTC Branch 96 dated September 29, 2006.

“May this send a strong message that Central Luzon is not a safe haven for criminals. We will continue our manhunt operations to cleanse our communities of criminals and lawless elements,” PRO3 director Brog Gen. Baccay said.
