CLARK FREEPORT — Learners of the CDC-OB Bloomberry Family Care Centers located in Barangay Marcos Village and Sitio Calapi in Mabalacat City received free learning tablets as part of the memorandum of understanding signed between the Mabalacat city government, Converge ICT Solutions and Clark Development Corporation.
Apart from the tablets which will aid the learners in their online schooling, Converge will also install Free Internet Service in the area.
Leading the MOU signing are Converge ICT Solutions Inc. Chairman Ping De Jesus, CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy, Mabalacat City Mayor Cris Garbo, Clark Development Corporation President and CEO Agnes VST Devanadera, Chairman Edgardo Pamintuan, Vice President for Admin and Finance Mariz Mandocdoc and CDC Assistant Vice President for External Affairs Rommel Narciso.
It can be recalled that the CDC partnered with OB Montessori for the implementation of “Aeta Pagsasarili Program” intended for IP communities.
The programs seeks to provide early childhood and adult learning practices for indigenous peoples (IPs) in areas near this freeport.
The program covers a total of 50 Aeta children aged three to four years old, who will be taught useful information on cognitive learning and human and social development in their formative years.
Along with this, their parents and other adults will also be taught practical and livelihood skills as they guide their children during the entire duration of the project.
