CAMP OLIVAS – The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has reported a significant drop in crime incidents across Central Luzon, highlighting the success of intensified law enforcement efforts in the region.
Between March 2 and March 29, 2025, a total of 1,057 crime incidents were recorded, reflecting a 19.37% decrease compared to the 1,311 cases documented from February 2 to March 1, 2025. This decline of 254 cases demonstrates the effectiveness of sustained police operations in combating criminal activities.
The reduction covers both index and non-index crimes. Index crimes, which include murder, homicide, physical injury, and robbery, saw a 38.01% decrease, with cases dropping from 271 to 168. Meanwhile, non-index crimes, which involve violations of special laws and other offenses, fell by 14.52%, from 1,040 to 889 cases.
PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo credited this downward trend to the intensified security measures and proactive policing strategies implemented across the region. She emphasized that the strict enforcement of the gun ban, the continuous conduct of checkpoint operations, and intelligence-driven arrests have significantly disrupted criminal activities.
“This steady decline in crime incidents is a direct result of our relentless efforts to ensure public safety. Our enhanced operations, increased police visibility, and the active participation of the community have played a crucial role in making Central Luzon a safer place,” PBGEN Fajardo said.
She also underscored the importance of sustaining these efforts, especially with the upcoming elections, stressing that law enforcement operations will remain relentless in preventing any threats to peace and order.
To maintain this momentum, PRO3 has intensified patrols and security checkpoints, strictly enforced the gun ban, and enhanced intelligence operations to track and apprehend criminals. The continued service of warrants of arrest and search warrants has also contributed to the arrest of wanted individuals and the confiscation of illegal items.
With the community’s cooperation and vigilance, PRO3 remains committed to strengthening security measures and ensuring the safety of residents across Central Luzon. Authorities encourage the public to remain proactive in reporting suspicious activities and supporting the police in their mission to uphold peace and order.
