CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Aimed at raising funds to support out-of-school youth education, hundreds of employees of the City Government of San Fernando joined a “Mini Alay Lakad” charity walk here on Nov. 22.
The walk, organized by the City General Services Office and City Engineer’s Office, was formed as support to the City of San Fernando Alay Lakad Foundation, Inc.
Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago and Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin joined the event and once again vowed support to the foundation.
This year, the Alay Lakad Foundation, Inc. is targeting to raise P1 million anew from public and private sector donors.
The City Government annually supports the cause by donating the same amount of money that the foundation could raise.
Foundation leaders are still calling on all Fernandinos to donate, by messaging their official Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/AlayLakadCSFP
