CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – “They have a strong personality and they multi-task.”
Thus said Mayor Vilma Caluag as she praised her fellow women during the launching of Women’s Month here on March 4.
She said, “Women have the ability to rise above any adversity and problem.”
Caluag was joined by Vice Mayor BJ Lagman and other officials during the unveiling of the activities for the Women’s Month in front of the city hall.
Some of the activities are Ist Quarterly Buntis (Pregnant) Party on March 14 (Mini Convention at Heroes Hall), Womentrepreneur Trade Fair on March 14 to 16 (Robinsons Starmills) and Subdermal Implant on March 21 (Amphi Theater).
Caluag, the first woman mayor of this city, said they have “high regard for the protection and welfare of women.” She added that her government and the police “make sure that all complaints from women are treated properly and fairly.”
“Our police desk handling cases filed by women is a testament to our commitment to their protection,” she added.
