Joins Axiado Corp. as member of the board

ANGELES CITY — Homegrown businessman Dennis Anthony Uy just boosted his stock even more as he becomes a member of the board of a Silicon Valley-based firm that is into AI (artificial intelligence) hardware security solutions.
Making more than a quantum leap from video rentals in 1980s to enterprise solutions in 1990s up to publicly listing Converge ICT Solutions a year ago, Uy is now a member of the board of Axiado Corp.
The company produces highly sought after processors and other hardware products to protect vital info on data centers and mobile networks.
It has a breakthrough product, called Trust Control/Compute unit or TCU, which is a new category of secure processors capable of detecting and eliminating breaches using AI features.
According to Uy, TCU can make Philippine data centers safer “as we build gateways from the United States to an interconnected Asia.”
Converge ICT Solutions Inc., the country’s biggest pure fiber internet provider, now covers the whole nation with pure fiber connectivity, deploying nearly 5.5 million ports at the end of October 2021 from the northernmost region of Luzon to the islands of the Visayas and the southern cities of Mindanao.
Uy joined the board of Axiado Corp. after leading a $25 million (P1.2 billion) investment round. (Noel Tulabut)
