The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in the region recently staged a week-long public exhibit at the SM City Pampanga Event Center to showcase the milestones and ongoing efforts of the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program.

This exhibit encouraged the public to journey through the wins and success stories of the program, through engaging displays, photo documentation, and feature narratives.

Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo shared that the exhibit highlights both the triumphs and challenges encountered in implementing the massive rehabilitation effort.

“We want every visitor to leave empowered to be part of the movement to protect our rivers, bays, and natural heritage,” Pablo added.

Visitors perceived bold and united efforts of government agencies, communities, and volunteers working together to restore one of the Philippines’ most historic and ecologically significant coastal ecosystems.

Booths were set up to feature the unique initiatives of DENR field offices involved in the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program.
The exhibit ran from June 17 to 20 as part of the Philippine Environment Month celebration.
