CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The regional office of the Department of Education (DepEd) has launched printed and video information, education and communication (IEC) materials in the pursuit of promoting academic honesty among learners in Central Luzon.
“We launched IEC materials which include eight locally developed comics and three advocacy videos designed for students in all grade levels,” DepEd Regional Director May Eclar said.
Comics that were produced include “Kring! Ang Kuwento nina Ian at Droid” by Marc Joel Reyes, “Hindi Okey Ang Online Kopyahan” by Jojit Elemento, “Awit ni Taptap” by Zaldy Millanes, and “Sina Mat, Tap, at Pat Mga Super-Estudyanteng Matapat” by Andrew Valentino.
Also, “Ang Sagot sa Problema ni Caloy” by Maria Consuelo Damaso, “Mali Pala ang Mangopya” by Sophia Mislan, “Ang Sikreto Ni Lito” by Veronica Atienza, and “Si Kara, Si Raya, at ang Matapat na Bata” by Noelynne Joyosa.
The comics writers are all from Zambales Schools Division Office (SDO).
Meanwhile, the three advocacy videos were produced by San Fernando Elementary School SFESial TV Production Team,
“These videos tackle scenarios showing a student making a choice to answer the modules honestly, a parent choosing not to subscribe to contract cheating, and a teacher explaining to a parent how grades are computed under the distance learning modality,” Eclar added.
