DOT: MICECON 2024 highlights Clark’s readiness as a premier MICE destination

MICECON 2024, the largest gathering of MICE professionals in the Philippines, commenced on July 11 with Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco highlighting the significance of the event’s theme and Clark’s pivotal role as host.

“The theme of MICECON 2024 is Xperience Diversified. This is particularly poignant, focusing on technology, inclusion, and diversity—key factors that will shape the future of our industry,” Secretary Frasco stated in her keynote address. “Embracing technological advancements allows us to innovate and propel our tourism industry to greater heights, while promoting diversity and inclusivity ensures that every participant that comes to the Philippines feels welcomed and valued. We value perspectives as a way of strengthening our collaborations.”

The tourism chief also hailed the choice of Clark as the host for MICECON 2024, reflecting on the seamless preparations and community support.

“I believe all the delegates will agree with me that nothing has been spared in terms of preparing for MICECON 2024. The community here in Clark, as well as in Pampanga, have all come together to give you an experience like no other,” she remarked.

The tourism chief likewise commended the Clark Development Corporation and the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines for mounting this year’s MICE event.

Clark’s readiness and potential as a premier MICE destination were key factors in its selection.

“The Clark Freeport Zone, with its accessibility, state-of-the-art conference venues, and comprehensive support services, is very well-prepared to welcome all the participants for MICECON 2024,” Secretary Frasco stressed. “This conference is an opportunity to learn about global trends, explore Clark’s facilities and offerings, and network with MICE experts from around the world. It is also a platform to showcase Clark’s and Pampanga’s sustained growth and development as a MICE hub, capable of attracting investments and stimulating economic growth.”
