DPWH completes farm-to-market road in Porac

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Residents and farmers from Porac town can now travel and transport their agricultural products easily with the completion of a farm-to-market road in their town.

The Pampanga 2nd District Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said the 4,163-linear meter infrastructure traverses the agricultural areas of Purok 1 and Purok 2 in barangay Calzadang Bayu.

District Engineer Gregorio Audea Jr. shared that residentsexpressed their excitement now that the project has been completed.

“It has become much easier for them to travel and transport their agricultural products due to the even and paved roads,” he said.

They are no longer concerned with road accidents that usually cause damage to their products, farm equipment and vehicles.

“Now that their place is easier to access, they believe it will bring positive benefits to their livelihood,” Audea added.

The project was funded under the DPWH-Department of Agriculture Convergence Program.

This ensures the safety of residents and encourage further economic development in the area.
