To promote responsible public service and advance sustainable development goals, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Floridablanca, Pampanga recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U).
The MOU was signed by Engr. Rhoderick Favorito, ESO director, representing Pampanga State U president Dr. Enrique G. Baking; and Floridablanca Mayor Michael L. Galang.
Through Pampanga State U’s Extension Services Office (ESO), in collaboration with its colleges and campuses, the partnership between the university and the LGU will address various areas and challenges.
These include community development and empowerment; formal and non-formal education and training; research and innovation for development; extension programs and outreach services; technical advisory and consultancy services; capacity building for LGU personnel and community leaders; policy development and planning support; and environmental protection, health promotion, and disaster resilience.
The signing was also attended by Hon. Michael John S. Ronquillo, Sangguniang Kabataan President of Floridablanca, and ESO centermanagers Engr. Inla Diana Salonga, Eloisa G. Mendoza, and Ma. Ferdelyn M. Coutinho.
