
SASMUAN, Pampanga – Seven of this town’s 12 barangays, including one at a coastal wetland, are recipients of relief goods from an integrated resort complex operator in Clark Freeport.
A total of 500 boxes of relief goods were handed out yesterday by Hann Foundation (formerly Widus Foundation) to residents who suffered during the onslaught of Typhoon Paeng in November last year.
Inside the box are rice, groceries, face masks and hygiene kits.

Mayor Catalina Cabrera welcomed the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team headed by Ronnel Golimlim, manager of Hann Foundation. The team is made up of volunteers from Widus Hotel, Clark Marriott, Swissotel Clark and Hann corporate offices.
Cabrera expressed gratitude to the Hann Foundation for looking into the plight of local residents, especially those affected by recent natural calamities like Typhoon Paeng.

Golimlim said the relief distribution is part of the overall program of their company to reach out to communities for a sustainable and wholistic CSR undertaking. He said that Hann is looking into possibility of extending more projects for livelihood, cultural, training and education.
Hann Foundation already has CSR programs in various towns and cities of Pampanga and Tarlac.

One recipient of relief goods here is barangay is Batang 1st, a coastal wetland which can only be accessed by a 40-minute banca ride from the town proper. Town Councilor Pablo Isip accompanied the CSR team, together with Provincial Social Welfare Development Officer Elizabeth Baybayan, Municipal Social Welfare Development Officer Rem Velasco, Philippine Air Force contingents from Clark and Basa Air Base, and members of the Pampanga Press Club.

Cabrera said that her administration has always sought help from government and the private sector to help alleviate the condition of her constituency. She has also thanked the Governor Dennis Pineda and 2nd district Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for their support.

For his part, Golimlim acknowledged their partners that include PAGCOR, Clark Development Corp, Philippine Air Force, the Provincial Government of Pampanga and members of media.
