ANGELES CITY – The Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) is gaining ground in its campaign against illegal drugs with the arrest Wednesday of a notorious drug dealer during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Anunas here.
ACPO director Police Colonel Amado A. Mendoza Jr. the suspect, identified as alias “Elmer” is considered as a “high-value individual” in the operation of illegal drugs in the city.
“We have been targetting the suspects for several months but he remains elusive until we cornered him in a drug sting at around 8 PM along Kalayaan Road in Barangay Anunas,” Mendoza said.
Mendoza said operatives from the drug unit of Police Station 5 immediately put the suspect under arrest after receiving the P1,000 marked money from an undercover cop in exchange of a sachet of shabu.
Some 60 grams of shabu with a estimated street value of Php408,000 were seized from the suspect by anti-narcotics cops.
According to Mendoza the Angeles police will continue in its unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of illegal activities particlurly illegal drugs in the city, in compliance with the order of Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr.
