MABALACAT CITY – This city has been evaluated and classified as a “Beyond Compliant Local Government Unit” for the Gawad KALASAG Seal for Local Government Units (LGUs) for the year 2024.
This recognition highlights Mabalacat City’s outstanding commitment to disaster risk reduction and humanitarian assistance, said Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo, citing the Mabalacat City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Council for this achievement.
The awarding ceremony will take place on November 28, 2024, at 1PM, at the Laus Group Event Centre in the City of San Fernando.
This joint national and regional event will honor local government units that have excelled in implementing effective disaster management strategies and humanitarian initiatives.
Mayor Cris Garbo expressed pride in this recognition, stating, “This award is a testament to our city’s dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. We remain committed to enhancing our disaster preparedness and response capabilities.”
