BULACAN – Police arrested on Saturday a 23-year-old man for allegedly raping the live-in partner of his co-worker in Bulacan.
Bulacan Police acting director Col. Manuel Lucban identified the suspect as John Paul Mondiego of Northville 6, Bgy. Santol, Balagtas.
The 23-year-old victim identified only as “Minerva” told police that she, her live-in partner and the suspect were drinking outside their house Friday evening when suddenly she and her live-in partner argued.
Minerva’s partner walked out, leaving her and the suspect, who continued drinking, until the drunk victim went inside the house to sleep.
In the room, Minerva was awaken when she felt she was half naked and someone was on top of her, raping her.
When she felt what the suspect was doing to her, she stood up, ran outside the house and reported the incident to the barangay officials who apprehended the suspect.
The suspect was turned over to the police while appropriate action is being prepared against him.
