The Mabalacat City College signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Center for Energy Inc. (PCEI) on March 26 to promote energy conservation, research collaboration, and sustainable energy practices within the institution and the broader community.
During the ceremony, Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong highlighted the importance of the collaboration.
“This partnership with the Philippine Center for Energy Inc. aligns with MCC’s vision of becoming a sustainability-driven institution. By working together, we can equip our students and stakeholders with the knowledge and skills needed to implement energy-efficient solutions and contribute to a greener future,” she said.
PCEI, through its Board of Director, Engr. Jeddper N. De Castro, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting MCC’s energy initiatives by providing expertise in energy auditing, renewable energy solutions, and compliance with national energy regulations.
The two institutions target to collaborate on capacity-building initiatives, energy management training and policy advocacy for students, faculty and stakeholders. This also includes joint projects like micro-credential courses and research opportunities that will benefit both the academic and industrial sectors.
By working together, MCC and PCEI aim to empower the next generation with the tools, knowledge and skills needed to address the challenges of energy conservation and climate action, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable future.
