As it celebrates four decades of food excellence and community leadership, Mekeni Food Corporation is set to take the centerstage at the first-ever One Pampanga Food and Beverage Expo on September 13–14, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center Clark.
One of the most anticipated events in the region’s culinary and business calendar, the expo aims to showcase the depth and diversity of Pampanga’s food and beverage industry. Mekeni, a homegrown brand that has grown into one of the country’s most trusted food manufacturers, will take part as the event’s largest booth sponsor.
The company’s participation also coincides with its 40th anniversary celebration. Founded in Porac, Pampanga in 1986, Mekeni started as a small family enterprise and has since grown into a globally recognized brand. Known for its signature line of hotdogs, tocino, longganisa, and other processed meat products, Mekeni has become a pillar of Kapampangan cuisine and a strong advocate of values-based business.
“This is more than just a booth, it’s a celebration of where we came from and where we’re headed,” said Pruds Garcia, President of Mekeni. “We want to honor our roots as a Kapampangan company while presenting our vision for the future of Filipino food in the global market.”
During the two-day expo, Mekeni is expected to highlight both its heritage and forward-looking strategies. Visitors can expect a variety of activities at the Mekeni booth, including free product tastings, previews of upcoming offerings, and interactive installations that bring its 40-year story to life.
In recent years, the company has made significant strides in exporting its products to global markets, including countries in Asia, the Middle East, and North America. As part of its anniversary campaign, Mekeni is intensifying efforts to expand its international reach and introduce more innovative products that cater to evolving consumer preferences.
“There is growing global interest in Filipino flavors, and we believe Kapampangan cuisine has a key role to play,” said Garcia. “Our goal is to bring pride to the Philippines by showing the world what our culture and culinary heritage can offer.”
Mekeni’s participation in the One Pampanga F&B Expo also reflects its continuing role in supporting regional development, entrepreneurship, and local employment. The company has long been recognized for its community-building efforts and inclusive approach to business, values that remain central to its brand identity.
Now in its 40th year, Mekeni continues to move forward with the same heart and purpose that shaped its beginnings. As it brings Kapampangan flavors to wider audiences, the company reaffirms its commitment to quality, innovation, and nation-building, one flavor at a time.
