The giant lantern in front of the Mabalacat City Hall was made by Kapampangan artisan Eric Quiwa and the rest of the Big 3 Enterprises creative team.
The 18-foot ‘lantern of hope’, installed to pay tribute to the indomitable and resilient Kapampangan spirit, can be synchronized and accompanied by a music, according to Quiwa. This is done through the installation of two computer sequencers.
More than 1,280 bulbs simultaneously light up the symbolic lantern.
