Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. monitors the situation in Angeles City after the earthquake at 8:43 am today.
Lazatin immediately went to the Angeles City Emergency Command Center with Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer-in-Charge Rodolfo Simeon, City Engineer Donato Dizon, and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.
The mayor also went around the City Hall building to check on the city hall employees who were already at work when the quake was felt.
He even inspected the City Hall premises to ensure the safety of all employees and the Angeleños having transactions at the City Hall.
Lazatin also called for a meeting to order the inspection of all infrastructure throughout the city, including schools and churches.
In addition, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas was tasked to coordinate with the Department of Public Works and Highways for the inspection of all bridges.
