Notorious crime group member falls

CAMP OLIVAS — A member of the Lorenzana criminal group was nabbed on Wednesday during the implementation of a search warrant in Bulacan.

PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen said personnel of San Ildefonso police together with 3rd MP, 2nd PMFC Bulacan PPO and Bulacan PECU, and Bulacan PIU conducted search warrants issued by Judge Maria Zenaida Bernadette T. Mendiola, of RTC Branch 80, Malolos City, Bulacan, which resulted to the arrest of  Rico Arpon Irabagon, for gun for hire, gunrunning, robbery/smuggling and illegal drug activities.

Seized from his possession were one .45 pistol; one .45 magazine;  10 bullets of .45; one silencer for .45 pistol; one .9mm gun; three  magazines for .9mm; 14 live bullets for .9mm; a 12-gauge shotgun; six bulletd for 12-gauge shotgun; one hand grenade fragmentation MKII; and a plastic bag containing  12 plastic sachets of suspected shabu.

“Our aggressive drive to recover and seize loose firearms as well as prevent the proliferation of illegal drugs through continuous police operations and implementation of Search Warrants against illegal gun owners are being carried out as we are committed to account all weapons being used as instruments of crime which is also in line with the M+K+K= K program of PNP Chief PGen Rodolfo S Azurin Jr.,” Pasiwen stressed.
