CAMP OLIVAS – Two suspected drug peddlers were arrested on Friday, yielding at least P540,000 worth of shabu in separate buy-bust operations in Pampanga.
In a report to PRO3 director Brig.Gen. Matthew Baccay, Angeles City police chief Col. Rommel Batangan said his men nabbed Reynaldo Deang, 44, in District 5, EPZA, Bgy. Pulung Cacutud, Angeles City and seized from him five plastic sachets containing shabu worth at least P408,000.
Meanwhile, Pampanga acting police director Col. Robin Sarmiento said Jennifer Parker alias “Jen”, 37, was arrested by elements of the PIU-PDEU Pampanga in an entrapment and confiscated from her vehicle a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing at least 20 grams valued at P136,000.
Baccay said the two operations yielded some 80 grams with shabu worth P544,000.
Charges for violations of Sec. 5 and 11, Art II of RA 9165 are being readied against the two suspects.
“We are continuously conducting proactive operations against all forms of illegal drugs until we achieve our quest of a drug-free Central Luzon,” Baccay said.
