CAMP OLIVAS – More than P700,000 worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation conducted in Mabalacat City, Pampanga on Saturday.
In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, Mabalacat acting police chief Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno said members of the Regional and Provincial Drug Enforcement Units and Mabalacat police conducted an entrapment in Sitio Caldera, Madapdap Resettlement, Bgy. Dapdap, Mabalacat City resulting to the arrest of Alexis Morete, 43.
Seized from him were nine plastic sachets containing shabu valued at P714,000, a cellular phone, a black pouch, and the marked and boodle money.
Morete will be charged with violations of Section 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“We are continuously conducting proactive operations against all forms of illegal drugs to achieve our quest of a drug-free Central Luzon,” Baccay said.
