PamCham supports Alert Level 3 status in Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PamCham) has expressed agreement to the recent declaration of Alert Level 3 in Pampanga in light of the marked rise in COVID-19 infection cases and the exponential increase in cases nationwide.

In a statement, the chamber said it will support other preventive measures that the provincial government may deem necessary to stem the further escalation of case numbers that will unduly strain and overwhelm our healthcare systems, among which can be mobility restrictions especially to the unvaccinated, stricter border controls and ramping up of vaccinations, including boosters, to all workers and residents of Pampanga.

“Once again, we appeal for the cooperation of the members in ensuring the protection of our employees and customers, by diligently observing and conscientiously complying with the IATF prescribed safety protocols, inside and outside our business establishments,” PamCham said.

The group believes that everyone’s sacrifice in the next few weeks will prevent a recurrence of the economic downturn in 2020 and preserve the gains made in the second half of 2021.

“Through our committed support in our partnership with the provincial government, we will overcome the challenges and prevail over this pandemic,” PamCham said.
