MABALACAT CITY — Two drug dens on Wednesday were dismantled here, resulting in the arrest of nine suspects and rescue of two minors in a series of operations by the PDEA Central Luzon in this city.
PDEA Central Luzon Regional Director Bryan Babang said the first operation led to the arrest of five suspects identified as alleged drug den maintainer Marivic Pineda, 52, of Barangay Pineda; Mary Ann Barnachea, 30, of Barangay Hermes; Gean Cloid Villaroman, 21, of Barangay San Isidro; Reymark Manzano, 28, of Barangay Riverside Duquit; and Renato Marcelo, 61, of Barangay Pineda, all in Mabalacat City.
The five suspects yielded five plastic sachets containing at least 13 grams of shabu worth P88,400; assorted drug paraphernalia; and the buy-bust money.
The second operation yielded 12 grams of shabu valued at P81,600; and arrest of four suspects identified as Katherine Surla alias Tirin, included in the police drug list, 36, of Manibaug Paralaya, Porac town; alleged drug den maintainer Marlito Calaguas alias Boi, 60, of Dau, Mabalacat City; Ramontito Nicdao, 36, of Santa Ines, Bacolor town; and Renel Mabual, 33, of Dau this city.
Babang said the nine suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the two minors will be turned over to the local Social Welfare Development Office.
