PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have fully restored network services in Pampanga, one of the provinces along super typhoon #KardingPH’s routes.
The Group’s fixed and wireless networks in the provinces of Aurora and Bulacan were fully restored last Wednesday, following Pangasinan, where PLDT and Smart were first to repair damaged network sites.
PLDT and Smart also continued to operate their Libreng Tawag (free calls), Libreng Charging (free charging), and Libreng WiFi (free WiFi) stations in Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Quezon, and Tarlac yesterday to accommodate the communication needs of affected residents.
PLDT and Smart Foundation, through Alagang Kapatid Foundation Inc., distributed relief packs to coastal communities in Polillo Island, Quezon. One Meralco Foundation, Maynilad, and Metro Pacific Tollways also distributed aid in the form of food packs, drinking water, and other necessities to Bulacan, Cavite, and Rizal.
More help will be delivered in the coming days.
