Porac Tourism Expo seen to boost local industry, culture

PORAC, Pampanga — The local government unit of Porac officially kicked off its first-ever tourism expo, showcasing the town’s culture, products, and creative industries through the participation of 30 exhibitors.

The opening marked a milestone in Porac’s efforts to position itself as an emerging tourism destination in Pampanga, with booths featuring local food, crafts, and services that reflect the town’s heritage and entrepreneurial spirit.

In her speech, Vice Mayor Jen Capil said the expo represents more than just a showcase of destinations.

“Tourism is about creating inclusive and sustainable opportunities that uplift industries, generate growth, and highlight our culture and creativity,” Capil said. “This partnership between the government, private sector, and our local producers and artists will ensure that Porac continues to thrive as a community and as a tourism hub.”

She also expressed gratitude to the organizers, partners, exhibitors, media, and the people of Porac for making the inaugural event possible, stressing that the expo is only the beginning of many more cultural and tourism initiatives for the town.

The two-day expo featured the best of Poraqueño products—from homegrown delicacies to artisanal crafts—giving visitors a chance to discover the local talent and creativity that make Porac a promising tourism destination in Pampanga.
