PRO3 anti-crime drive nets 400 law offenders, P1-M drugs

CAMP OLIVAS – The weeklong anti-crime drive of the Central Luzon police from January 3 to January 9 resulted in the arrest of 394 persons, illegal drugs, and cash bets.

PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said among the 394 persons nabbed, 143 have standing warrants, 29 of whom have strings of warrants ranging from murder, rape, and frustrated murder; 112 were caught for illegal drugs; and 130 were accosted for illegal gambling while nine individuals were apprehended for violation of special laws.

A total of 236 plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 97.35 grams valued at P1,219,240, 53 sachets of marijuana weighing 94.10 grams worth P19,497.96 were seized along with the confiscation of bet money amounting to P38,492.

“We will keep on invigorating our efforts targeting lawless elements ensuring that our communities are safer and more secure,” Baccay said.
