PRO3 seizes illegal firearms in simultaneous raids

A series of simultaneous law enforcement operations by Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) operatives led to the arrest of three individuals for illegal possession of firearms.

The operations, carried out in different areas of Bulacan and Pampanga, were part of PRO3’s intensified efforts to curb the proliferation of loose firearms, especially in the lead-up to the 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE).

The first operation took place around 8AM in Brgy. Encanto, Angat, Bulacan, where personnel from the Angat Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the 301st MC-RMFB3, implemented Search Warrant No. 22-M-2025. This led to the arrest of 31-year-old “Chard”, from whom authorities confiscated a caliber .45 pistol, a magazine, and five live rounds of ammunition.

Shortly after, at 9:20 AM, operatives of Arayat MPS, together with the Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), executed Search Warrant No. 25-09 in Brgy. Baliti, Arayat, Pampanga. Their operation resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old “Mark,” who was found in possession of a Colt caliber .45 pistol, a magazine, six live rounds, and a black top holster.

Meanwhile, at 9:30 AM, personnel from San Ildefonso MPS conducted another search in Brgy. Sta. Catalina Bata, San Ildefonso, Bulacan, under Search Warrant No. 24-M-2025. The raid led to the arrest of 60-year-old “Lito,” a real estate agent. Seized from his possession were a Colt caliber .45 pistol, a loaded magazine with seven live rounds, three airguns (two with scopes), an airgun barrel, an airgun silencer, and two CO2 cylinder tanks.

“Every illegal firearm taken off the streets is a step toward a safer community. With the upcoming elections, we are doubling our efforts to eliminate threats that could compromise public safety and the integrity of the electoral process. These operations prove our unwavering commitment to upholding the law and protecting the people. We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any illegal firearms to help ensure a secure and peaceful election season,” said PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo, Regional Director of PRO3.

Authorities are encouraging the public to report any information on illegal firearms, emphasizing that community cooperation is crucial in maintaining peace and preventing crimes.
