CAMP OLIVAS – Central Luzon top cop Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay reported the arrest of 20 most wanted persons on the first day of week-long regionwide conduct of PRO3’s Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO).
Baccay said among the 20 most wanted felons, eight were arrested by the Pampanga police; four were caught equally by Olongapo City and Nueva Ecija cops; three were captured by the Tarlac police; and one was apprehended by the Bataan police.
Citing reports from different provincial and city directors, most arrested fugitives have standing warrants for rape and violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The suspects arrested in Pampanga were John Fernan Briganis, 18, the 10th most wanted in Pampanga for car theft; Marvin Sibug, 36; Wendell Villegas, 18; Michael Cunanan, 41; Jesus Sarmiento, 48, all for drugs; Christopher Puyat, 32, for frustrated murder; Raysen Javier, 21, for violation of Provincial Ordinance No. 756; and Whesly Quendan, 25, for illegal possession of firearms.
Meanwhile, Olongapo City cops caught Gerald Cuenco, 43, for drugs; Michael Sunglao, 47, and Emil Gloria, 28, for rape; and Johnel Santos, 56, for child abuse and attempted rape.
The Nueva Ecija cops arrested Dexter Costanera, 34, for rape; Teddy Farro, 48, for four counts of violation of Sec 5b, Art. III of RA 7610; Solomon Sotti, 53, for robbery with frustrated homicide; and Alfredo Palma, 36, for homicide.
Tarlac policemen apprehended Lenen Guieb, 49, for grave threats; Michelle Manaloto, 39 for drugs; and Michael June Balcabal, 23, for two counts of rape; while Ondon Sato, 26, was arrested by Bataan police for the crime of theft.
“I commend the operating teams for their continuous commitment to account and arrest these wanted persons so that they could face prosecution and be made answerable for their crimes so that we could give justice to their victims,”, Baccay said.
