APALIT, Pampanga — The Provincial Government of Pampanga officially inaugurated the Provincial Dialysis Center II in the Municipality of Apalit, significantly improving access to critical medical services for dialysis patients across the province.

The facility was formally opened by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco, in the presence of representatives from PhilHealth, the Department of Health (DOH), public-private partners, district mayors, and provincial department heads.
With the establishment of the dialysis center in Apalit, patients from nearby municipalities will no longer need to travel to San Fernando City for treatment. The facility ensures faster, safer, and more convenient access to life-sustaining dialysis services for Kapampangans suffering from chronic kidney disease.

The project is one of the flagship initiatives conceptualized by former Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Mayor Jun Tetangco under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework, in collaboration with B. Braun Corp, Jose B. Lingad Memorial Hospital, and the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
“Nag-start po ang lahat ng development na ito — ang DHVSU at ang Dialysis Center — noong 2022. Noong panahon ng pandemya, bawal pong lumabas ang karamihan at kami lamang na mga executive ang pinapayagang lumabas. Naglakad po kami ni Mayor Jun Tetangco rito at nangarap na magkaroon ng ospital, mas malaking dialysis center, at unibersidad ang bayan ng Apalit. At ngayon po, ito na ang inyong nakikita,” he shared.

The Provincial Government also expressed its deep gratitude to Ms. Jen Tetangco, wife of Mayor Tetangco, for donating the land where the facility was built. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) funded the construction of the facility with an allocation of PHP 30 million, while the DOH provided 40 dialysis machines and a Water Reverse Osmosis System.
According to the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the center can accommodate more than 200 patients per day.

Dialysis services at the facility are provided free of charge through support from PhilHealth, making treatment more accessible and affordable for patients in need.
“Nanawagan po ako sa mga nagdi-dialysis dito sa Fourth District. Dati po ay kailangan pa ninyong bumiyahe, pero ngayon ay narito na — inilapit na namin sa inyo ang dialysis center,” Gov. Nanay said.
Kapampangans wishing to avail of dialysis services may coordinate with their local Nanay Community Workers for registration and assistance.
In addition to the Apalit facility, more provincial dialysis centers are set to open in the First and Third Districts of Pampanga, further expanding healthcare access across the province.
The opening of Provincial Dialysis Center II reaffirms the Provincial Government’s commitment to providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services—bringing treatment closer and hope within reach for every Kapampangan.
