Re-electionist Doc Cocoy praised for saving rider in accident

MABALACAT CITY – A social media post about help extended by a re-electionist councilor in a motorcycle accident in this city on Sunday evening is eliciting praises, if not going viral.

It was captioned “not all heroes wear capes, tsinelas will do”, posted by one Teemoy Manarang.

He was referring to Councilor Cocoy Tiglao who pulled over to check on a motorcycle rider laying on the highway pavement in Brgy. Duquit.

A doctor by profession, Tiglao was in shorts, collarless shirt and slippers. He and his family were on their way home from dinner when they chanced upon an accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.

Tiglao first checked on the condition of the rider and called an ambulance which took him to the hospital in a few minutes.

One Dabeh Martin commented:  “Saksi ku ken nbengi par. Tlgang tinuknang la pra sumawup kang tatang na meaksidente. Sana mging ok ya i tatang rider. 🙏 Salute and thank you Doc Cocoy! ☺️ (I was a witness last night. Doctor Cocoy really stopped and checked on the rider. We hope the rider is ok).
