RHU3 Mabalacat to open DOH-certified Animal Bite Treatment Center

Mabalacat City, starting June 20, will open an Animal Bite Treatment Center (ABTC), certified by the Department of Health, which will benefit residents of select barangays under the city’s Rural Health Unit (RHU) 3.

The center will offer free services every Monday and Thursday.

This is in line with Mayor Crisostomo Garbo’s directive to the City Veterinary Office and all barangay officials to educate fur parents against rabies.

Residents from the barangays of Mabiga, Dapdap, Sapang Balen, Paralayunan, Bundagul, Sta. Maria, Macapagal, Calumpang, and Marcos can avail themselves of the ABTC services from 1 PM to 6 PM, except on holidays.

Individuals are required to present a valid ID with their address for verification purposes.

The RHU3 Mabalacat, where the ABTC services will be provided, is located at the intersection of Kalamansi St. and Kasoy St. in San Rafael Village, Mabiga.

Mayor Garbo expressed his gratitude towards the collaborative efforts of key people involved in the project, including Dr. Rosemarie Anne M. Liong, the head of RHU3 and ABTC Physician, Nurse Murphy Manlapaz, ABTC Nurse, and the entire RHU3 ABTC Team.

For further inquiries or assistance regarding the ABTC services, residents are encouraged to reach out to the RHU3 Mabalacat City.
