CAMP ALEJO SANTOS – A suspect in a robbery was killed on Wednesday during a follow-up police operation in Bustos, Bulacan.
Bulacan police director Col. Rommel Ochave identified the fatality as Edgardo Lora Jr., of Blvd St., Ala-Uli, Pilar, Bataan.
Ochave said a man parked his vehicle in front of a store when the suspect approached him and at gunpoint forcibly took his sling bag containing P20,000 before fleeing on a motorcycle.
The victim reported the incident to the Bustos police who made a mob flash alarm and pursued the suspect.
The motorcycle was flagged down at the by-pass road in Bgy. Bonga Menor but didn’t stop and fired shots at the police operatives and prompting them to retaliate, killing the suspect.
Recovered from the scene were a .9mm pistol loaded with four bullets, nine cartridge cases of .9mm, a sling bag with wallet, driver’s license, and the stolen sling bag containing the cash.
