Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Rene G. Romero said that the appointment of Secretary Vince Dizon to the Department of Transportation is a welcome development not just for Kapampangans but for the entire country.
“We have seen his dedication and leadership during his tenure at BCDA and as the COVID-19 czar, ensuring that every Filipino had access to vaccines. He is deeply passionate about any responsibility entrusted to him and consistently delivers outstanding results,” Romero said in a statement.
As a Kapampangan and a close friend of Dizon, Romero expressed confidence that he will address the pressing issues facing the DOTr and its agencies, including the challenges at the LTO, traffic congestion in Metro Manila, and other critical transportation concerns.
“I have full faith in his ability to take decisive action and bring meaningful improvements to our transportation sector,” he said.
Romero, president of Romac Group, said Dizon played a key role in making the long-awaited construction of the Clark International Airport Terminal 2 and the development of New Clark City a reality, along with other essential projects in Clark and its surrounding areas, after so many years of urging the government under several Philippine presidents.
“His leadership and vision have already transformed Central Luzon, and I believe he will bring the same level of commitment and effectiveness to the Department of Transportation,” he said.
