CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – SM City Pampanga is joining the celebration of the 2022 National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) through a 3-day Festival which focuses on the Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation (DRR-CCA) efforts of the provincial government of Pampanga through the years.
Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Chief Officer Angelina Blanco, during the event, handed over a plaque of appreciation to SM City Pampanga as a partner in the 2022 NDRM Festival.
Receiving the plaque was SM Regional Operations Manager Andrea Rodriguez with SM City Pampanga Mall Manager Aaron Montenegro and Assistant Mall Manager Charm Bacani.
The Fest, happening until July 22, features an exhibit of photos for a mobile photo contest and information boards of the province’s efforts towards attaining disaster resilience. This includes Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaigns, interactive lectures and showcase of DRR-related skills.
There are also static and dynamic displays featuring rescue vehicles and equipment for collapsed structure search and rescue, high angle rescue, water search and rescue and emergency medical service in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross.
The NDRM Fest also aims to promote public awareness on the different DRRM capacities of the province of Pampanga which were developed through the years of leadership under Governor Dennis Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia Pineda.
The NDRM Festival is open to the public where they can avail free blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring in partnership with the Provincial Health Office. There are also free photobooths and different activities integrated in the festival where one can get chance to win exciting prizes.
