Suspect in death of Bulacan missing woman arrested

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S SANTOS – Police arrested the suspect in the death of a female engineer after a 48-hour non-stop hot pursuit operation by the Bulacan police Thursday afternoon in Bgy. Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Bulacan police acting director Col. Charlie Cabradilla identified the suspect as Darwin de Jesus, 31, a welder and resident of Dulate Street, Brgy. Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Investigations revealed that an eyewitness was able to identify the suspect.

Joint elements of Malolos City Police Station (CPS), as the lead unit, together with the Guiguinto Municipal Police Station (MPS), and the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), responded swiftly and proceeded to the suspect’s residence on July 6, 2022, around 9:00 pm, but he managed to escape.

The pursuit went on until he was finally caught in Barangay Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan, at about 4:25 PM on July 7, 2022.

Victim Princess Dianne Dayor, a 24-year-old resident of B. Dulate Street, Bgy. Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan, was an industrial engineer in one of the factories in Pulilan, Bulacan.

She was last seen around 5:30 am on July 2 in Bgy. Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan, when she was reported missing.

Concerned citizens and witnesses from Barangay Tikay, Malolos City, informed the Malolos City police of a body at a small creek at the border of Tabang, Guiguinto, and Bgy. Tikay, Malolos CIty last July 6.

The victim’s body was recognized by her family through her tattoo and personal belongings.

 Suspect De Jesus is now facing charges of robbery with homicide.

The Bulacan police have assured the bereaved family of the victim that justice will be served.
