A Taiwanese national and his Filipino cohort were arrested on Monday after they claimed some 600 grams of ketamine in a controlled delivery operation conducted by members of the PDEA Region 3.
The PDEA identified the suspects as Cheng-Hong Liao, a Taiwanese national, and resident of Trump Tower, Kalayaan Ave. Makati City; and Alonzo Altrie, 37, a resident of Pasay City.
“According to Alonzo, he was asked by Cheng-Hong to claim the package containing the illegal substances,” the PDEA said.
The operation yielded one package containing some 600 grams of ketamine valued at P3 million, a driver’s license, Room ID and a cellphone.
The operation was conducted by the PDEA Region 3, BOC Port of Clark, PDEA Clark Inter Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group, PDEA RO-NCR SDO and the local police.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the two suspects.
