Tarlac Governor Susan Yap led the fourth quarter meeting of the Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc. (CLGCFI) last October 11 at the Balagtas Hall, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in the City of Malolos, Bulacan.
Gov. Yap, who filed her Certificate of Candidacy for Mayor of Tarlac City is the president of the CLGCFI.
The meeting aims to further strengthen the commitment of the regional network of Investment Promotion Officers (IPOs) to the investment promotion efforts of CLGCFI, as the work plan for the rest of the year were presented and discussed.
It also intends to enhance competencies among IPOs from the Provincial Governments and Department of Trade and Industry III for a better networking and coordination of investment promotion units in the region.
The meeting was then followed by a visit and learning session at the Bulacan Packaging and Toll Packing Center and Bulacan Pasalubong Center & OTOP Hub.
CLGCFI is composed of the provinces of Tarlac, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Aurora, Zambales and Bataan.
In her Facebook post, Gov. Yap said that she is honored to preside over the meeting.
“Isang karangalan po ang makadalo bilang pangulo ng Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc. sa Bulacan. Ang mga gobernador at mga opisyales ng Rehiyon III ay muling nagtipon-tipon upang palakasin ang ating layuning pagandahin ang ekonomiya at kabuhayan sa buong Gitnang Luzon,” she posted.
The Tarlac governor added, “Sa pamamagitan ng kolaborasyon ng iba’t-ibang sektor at lokal na pamahalaan, patuloy tayong maghahatid ng progreso para sa bawat probinsya. Sama-sama po nating itaguyod ang mas masiglang rehiyon para sa ating lahat. (Tarlac PIO/Arvin Cabalu)
