From Local Acclaim to the International Stage
Simoun Andres, who hails from Pasig, Philippines, began his professional life in a different sphere, working with his godmother Ramily Santillan at SaiRam Collections, creating versatile and functional clothing line to address the diverse needs and occasions of clients. Building a substantial amount of following, SaiRam Collections also offered a wide range of reasonably-priced yet fashionable ensembles, gowns which definitely caught the attention of the bigger clout and media. In fact, Andres was awarded the title “Natatanging Pasigueño” for his exceptional dedication as a fashion designer, building his reputation more within the community. The brand has also been celebrated in magazines and online newsletters with the likes of MEGA Magazine, Wedding Essentials magazine, RARE Magazine and Bride Breafast, just to name a few.
Over the years, armed with the great talent for fashion and design, and earlier guided by no other than by her seasoned seamstress godmother, Andres was able to enhance his skills, feed his passion and soon became a globally sought-after designer for wedding and evening gowns.
His fashion-forward label “SaiRam Collections,” which specializes in luxury bridal and evening gowns, too earned him recognition not only for limitless design innovations but making sure each piece has the workmanship and quality they are known for.
Andres is celebrated for his sophisticated line of bespoke evening wear and luxury bridal gowns. His design philosophy favors impeccable basics, timeless classics, and first-rate materials, bringing a fresh focus on refined aesthetics. His pieces, while often incorporating a touch of sparkle, maintain a classic elegance and class, while supporting growing and emerging talented sewers. Beyond luxury couture, Andres has also made a mark in ready-to-wear, envisioning a bolder, more contemporary lens for his SaiRam brand’s chic wear, which is both stylish and unpretentious. He also designs menswear, evoking a modern, subdued elegance.
A Showcase of Pride and Talent
He stepped up during the Philippine Independence Day celebration in June 2023 where he showcased his creation in Manhattan, New York parade. It was a proud moment seeing his exquisite Filipiniana gowns and Barong Tagalog highlighted in a heritage moment.
A series of accolades and feats engraved Andres’s career more during his debut on a European fashion stage at his participation in Paris Fashion Week in March 2024. Entitled “Blossoms in Noir,” it drew inspiration from a “noir aesthetic,” weaving together a tapestry of emotions and artistry. This 15-piece collection focused on a palette of “black and red”, with a focus on formals and semi-formals. And just recently, Milan Fashion Week in February 2025 Milan, Italy, showcasing his Autumn-Winter collection.
Come October 17, 2025, Andres plays a part in the bridal showcase as The Manila Hotel and the country’s premier bridal magazine, Wedding Essentials present TADHANA on October 17, 2025 5pm at the Tent City, The Manila Hotel, a tribute to the beauty of the Philippine weddings and celebrations.
