WHETHER it be the traditional – clad with balls and ribbons – or the modern one with IC-chip controlled lights, the Christmas tree brings joy and awe not just to children but also adults.
They are as tall as 50 feet, placed prominently with extraordinary garnish.
Marriott Clark has its own near a grand piano at its lounge, making it a real attraction to those who seek calm and relaxation from a day’s business deals. Or away from it all – the hustle and bustle of the city life.
The triangle and lantern-filled version at the mini park of Quest Conference Center at Mimosa Plus is unique and inviting. Mounted with giant lighted Christmas balls and gold-colored deer make the tree so adorable. It is also adjacent to the Charley’s Bar where one can have a drink after a pose.
The lobby of Hilton Clark is now more exciting with its giant tree. With its star on top almost touching the ceiling comes an almost perfect perspective where bursts of colors light up not just the hall but also people’s mood.
The Bryant Park-inspired tree at SM City Clark reminds me of joyous holidays spent in Manhattan, New York. It is also well-lit with minimum consumption by LED lights and fire proof materials. What makes this set-up fantastic are the tables and chairs around it, bringing a touch of the Big Apple to the mall.
Not to be outdone as always is the attraction created by the digitally-powered Christmas tree at Clark’s Parade Grounds. Towering over a verdant field where picnickers frolic in the cold winds in a wide open space, this tree just brings delight to tens of thousands every week.
Not to mention the side attraction of various food stalls and shops at Mangan Tamu (known also as Comercio Central) that has a started few years ago. The lit-up acacia trees also add warmth and spirit of the season.
God bless everyone this Christmas and beyond. (Text and photos by NT)
