
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Provincial Government of Pampanga, together with national government agencies, marked the 68th birthday of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. with the distribution of extensive aid and livelihood support under the program “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” on Saturday, September 13.
Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, and regional heads of government agencies led the celebration, joined by Assistant Secretary Medmier Malig, who represented DPWH Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon on behalf of the President.

“Sabay-sabay pong isinasagawa ang serbisyong ito sa iba’t ibang rehiyon at probinsya. Tuloy-tuloy ang pagbibigay ng serbisyong medikal, edukasyon, pangkabuhayan, at trabaho dahil nais ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos na maramdaman ang Pamahalaan sa bawat bayan, barangay, komunidad, at pamilya,” Malig said.

During the event, the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) granted ₱10,000 each to 70 senior citizens under the Expanded Centenarians Act, while the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) provided ₱15,000 in financial assistance to each of the 30 beneficiaries under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for their part turned over 5,000 bamboo and fruit-bearing seedlings to local governments in Pampanga.

A total of ₱6.4 million loans were released to seven beneficiaries through the lending program of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Small Business Corporation (SBC) for small enterprises. The agency also awarded livelihood kits worth ₱15,000 each to 32 recipients under the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa Program.

Meanwhile, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) extended wide-ranging assistance by distributing ₱1.39 million in TUPAD payouts to 254 workers, providing ₱109,711.25 to 29 youth interns under the Government Internship Program (GIP), granting ₱30,000 each to 10 beneficiaries of the Integrated Livelihood Program, supporting six MSMEs through the Adjustment Measures Program (AMP). PhilHealth also distributed assistance to 15 YAKAP Beneficiaries.
Health services were also made available through the Department of Health (DOH) in partnership with the Provincial Government, including free X-rays, ECGs, pneumonia vaccinations, and maintenance medicine refills. Medical assessments and consultations for ophthalmology, surgical, and obstetrics-gynecology cases were likewise provided under the “Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program.”
“Nagpapasalamat po ang lalawigan ng Pampanga sa pagmamahal ng ating national agencies. Hindi lang po ito tuwing kaarawan ng Pangulo, kundi taon-taon ay patuloy po silang nandito para sa mga Kapampangan,” said Governor Pineda.
Complementing these initiatives were a DOLE Job Fair, Kadiwa stalls offering affordable local products, Lab For All Mobile Clinic, agency assistance booths, and even free haircuts for attendees.
These initiatives, carried out in celebration of President Marcos’ 68th birthday, serve as gifts that highlight the government’s continuing commitment to deliver meaningful assistance and livelihood opportunities ensuring that progress and support reach every Kapampangan community.
